ESIC Drives Nationwide “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” with Multi-City Health Initiatives
New Delhi, October 2025 – The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is actively implementing the “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” across its network of hospitals and medical institutions. Observed from 17th September to 2nd October 2025, this nationwide campaign aligns with the Government’s vision for a healthy and empowered society, focusing on women’s health, preventive care, and family wellness.
The Abhiyaan integrates comprehensive health check-ups, screening for non-communicable and women-specific diseases, and extensive awareness sessions aimed at insured women, Safai Mitras, and their families.
A snapshot of key activities from across the country:
Bengaluru: Comprehensive Screening and Awareness
ESIC Medical College PGIMSR and Model Hospital, Rajajinagar, organised a large-scale health programme on 20th September. The camp screened 120 beneficiaries for TB, menstrual disorders, and oral, breast, and cervical cancers. Key outcomes included the identification of 40 suspected oral cancer cases and 16 suspected breast cancer cases. The event also featured a voluntary blood donation camp that collected 22 units, and specialized sessions on nutrition, yoga, and genital hygiene.
Tiruppur: Focused Screening for Insured Women
On 21st September, ESIC Hospital, Tiruppur, conducted a targeted health camp for insured women above 30. Of the 44 women screened, the camp identified 11 suspected cases of hypertension and 13 suspected cases of diabetes. On-the-spot consultations and Pap smear tests were facilitated, alongside crucial awareness sessions on lifestyle disorders and anaemia prevention.
Ludhiana: Maternal and Child Health Emphasis
ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, held dedicated awareness sessions on 21st September. The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and the Department of Paediatrics led discussions on menstrual hygiene, immunisation, and nutrition. The camp registered four new antenatal cases and conducted screenings for 21 women for cervical and breast cancers.
Alwar: Campus and Outreach Initiatives
ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Alwar, hosted a health camp on its campus, screening 113 individuals for hypertension and 110 for diabetes. An awareness talk on cervical cancer was delivered to staff and patients. A parallel outreach camp at the ESIC Hospital Campus in Desoola, Alwar, saw participation from 102 individuals and featured unique Basic Life Support (BLS) training sessions conducted by the Department of Anaesthesiology.

By deploying these extensive activities at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, ESIC hospitals, and health centres, ESIC is reinforcing the campaign’s core objectives. The strategic combination of preventive screenings, diagnostic services, and community-based education is empowering women and families, fostering a culture of proactive healthcare, and contributing to the broader goal of a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
