• A high-level delegation of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) met Sri K Ram Mohan Naidu, Honorable Union Minister for Civil Aviation on 1st July 2024 in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum on the problems of Casual employees who were employed 25 years back but not getting work since covid pandemic. 541 employees are experiencing tremendous issues. It requested to provide jobs for these employees working in Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nagpur and other places.
• The delegation also submitted another memorandum on the typical problems faced by Air India Express Employees just because they have formed a Union under the banner of BMS. The members of the delegation explained in detail about the discriminatory acts adopted by the Management and their negative response to the conciliation proceedings that are taking place.
• Sri B Surendran, All India Organising Secretary, led the delegation. The delegation includes -Sri Ramnath Ganeshe, Aviation Sector Prabhari; Sri Girish Arya, All India Secretary; Sri Avinash Khot of Indian Airlines Karmachari Sangh; Smt. Nidhi Pandey, Smt. Ravitha Ahlawat and Sri Shibbu Ashraf of Air India Express Employees Union (AIXEU).
• The Minister spared sufficient time for delegation, interacted with both the union’s members and responded positively. The meeting was effective, and fruitful and also created hope. BMS thanked the Hon. Minister for his keen interest in employee issues.
